There are no local statutory standards for handling LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) in Fiji. So Fiji Gas operates to the Australian Safety Standards. Fiji Gas rigorously carries out safety checks across its terminals and trucks on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.

At the heart of safe operations is staff training. Every day, members of the Fiji Gas Team receive safety training. Safety is the number one priority in the Fiji Gas culture. The first agenda item in every staff meeting. All staff are trained to look at every situation from a safety angle.
